Married in 1980 René and Mischa have lived in various countries. In 1985 their son Pablo was born in Hong Kong, followed by Thassos in 1986. (Both have had and used Reiki since the age of four and five respectively.) Since 1987 their summer residence has been on an island in Greece.

Mischa and René have been Reiki Masters since the autumn of 1992, when, having changed jobs and careers, they dedicated their whole lives towards spreading this harmonising energy. Sharing the job equally, they teach courses in all degrees in Europe (Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Greece) and also in Asia. Since 1995 they have also trained Masters.

Both are members of the Reiki Network. René was elected in Norwich/UK to vice president in 1996, in Lucerne/Switzerland president in 1998 and worked on the committee of this professional organisation until 2002. The same year Mischa was elected president in Malta and in 2004 she was re-elected for office in Malmö/Sweden. In Rome/Italy in2006 Mischa passed over the presidency to her successor; Mischa has continued to serve on the committee as "Immediate Past President" until 2008.

The fourth of eleven children, Mischa was born in 1952 and raised in Switzerland, completing an apprenticeship as technical designer. Her constant passion for travel and yearning for novelty led her abroad as a young woman. After her return she completed a degree in Commerce and worked for international corporations. In the early 80’s she took art classes in South Africa and had her first exhibitions.

In 1985 she exhibited in Hong Kong, and in 1987 she was trained as an Ikebana teacher in Korea. From 1989 to 1991 she was proprietor of a gallery. A shift of perspective and challenges in her relationship and family brought her to Reiki in January of 1991.

She says of herself: “My strongest virtues are spontaneity and intuition, but also logic and perseverance.” And the most important thing in life is “… to be One.”

To me, Reiki is: “Love.” I teach Reiki because: “It’s the most important thing I can pass on to people.” The most important thing about Reiki “The Self Treatment.” What I like best about Reiki: “It´s simplicity.”

Born an only child in 1953 and raised in Switzerland, he too felt drawn to go abroad for further education. He went to England immediately after finishing his commercial apprenticeship.

At the age of 21 he crossed half the globe on a motor bike, taking 1 1/2 years. After that he pursued a career in international commodity trading which took him to many countries in eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.

In 1989 he changed his career and became independent, working in the art-trading business and getting into the environmentally friendly products market. In March 1991 he found Reiki. A time of transformation began. He says of himself: “I am passionate, and have the ability to see the Whole. “ The most important thing in his life is: “To go to heaven!” (laughs). Author of the book „Weltverbesserer“ and LM-Trainer.

To me, Reiki is: “Indescribable, thank God.” I teach Reiki because: “It is my privilege to make my calling my profession.” The most important thing about Reiki is: “The self responsibility.” What I like best about Reiki: “That it can’t be influenced.”
